Free-standing outpatient surgery facility. Typically 30-50% cheaper than hospital outpatient departments for the same procedure. Often physician-owned. Common for cataract surgery, colonoscopy, hernia repair, knee arthroscopy, and many imaging procedures. Note: ASCs are NOT covered by 45 CFR 180.50, so their prices aren't in this dataset.
