HDHP.

High-Deductible Health Plan.

Health plan with a deductible above a federal threshold ($1,650 individual / $3,300 family in 2026). Lower premiums than traditional plans, but you pay more out-of-pocket before insurance kicks in. HDHPs are HSA-eligible; cash-pay rates often beat HDHP negotiated rates for elective procedures.
